TROY HAWKINS
Troy is a self-taught artist working in many mediums. His current artistic focuses are jewelry, hand-painted silk, pastels and found object assemblage/collage.
Troy has exhibited his work at the Foundry Gallery, The Brickhouse Gallery, Barton Gallery and 20th Street Art Gallery in Sacramento and the Shasta County Arts Council Gallery in Redding.
He completed public projects for the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, El Dorado Arts Council, the City of Placerville and the City of El Dorado Hills. Troy’s “Day In The County” Mustang project, completed with the student of Marina Village Middle School was purchased by the City of El Dorado Hills and is now on permanent display at the Cameron Park Library.
Troy was a featured artists at the 2006 California State Fair, was featured on the 2007 Shasta County Open Studio Tour and is a Board member of the Shasta County Arts Council.
In addition to creating original artwork, Troy has a passion for teaching. Currently he teaches for the City of Redding ABC-123 preschool program and has worked in the classroom for over 20 years. Troy teaches art privately, for the Shasta County Arts Council and for the Redding Department of Parks and Recreation.
